Taylor Swift Gets Sued Over Her App Moniker

When Taylor Swift launched her application, "The Swift Life," a kind of social network for her fans to know firsthand information about her life and career, the singer didn't count on what it would cause for a small United States technology company.

Patrick Benot, owner and sole employee of SwiftLife, is suing the singer for misuse of the moniker he has registered since 2007.

According to the lawsuit, raised by the TMZ website, Patrick has never been contacted by Taylor or his team and he has been suffering from using the singer's app name. The entrepreneur has been receiving a barrage of emails at help@swiftlife.com with problems related to the Taylor Swift app, thus disrupting the business of his small business.
