Selena Gomez has annouced that she is going to be away from social media after she received hate comments and even death threats on Instagram.
It all started when she did Q&A session on Instagram last Friday. Selena answered questions about her career, her current life and all her fans could see that she is doing really well.
She spoke about her next album and its influence on her personal life, to the point it helps her to define herself as a woman.
However, one question ignited the whole confusion. One of the fans asked for an advice about how to overcome the breakup with an ex.
Selena said that we can't really overcome an ex, as they will always mean something in their lives. She said that it's necessary to understand the role this person has in their relationship and then accept it is over.
Some fans understood she was talking about Justin Bieber and the news spread. Bieber's and Baldwin's fans heard about it and came to Selena's instagram to insult her.
Some of the Jailey couple, name given to the shippers of Justin and Hailey, started to deliver hate comments, body shaming, many types of offenses and even a death threat.
After that, Selena Gomez decided to step back and quit social media and she did it through her Instagram. She even warned people that negative comments can hurt people.
Her fans came up to support her, asking people to stop cyber bullying with celebrities. They started a movement called #Leave Selena Alone, so that the star could continue on the social media without being bothered by haters.
Despite the annouced pause, we still will be able to listen to her new single "Taki Taki" featuring DJ Snale, Cardi B and Ozuna.
